Bio: A 1966 graduate of Mississippi State University, School of Forestry, Lynn Prine began his professional career as a forester for Forest Owners, Inc., a forestry cooperative in Yazoo City, Mississippi. In 1968 he joined the staff of the School of Forestry at Mississippi State University, managing approximately 6,000 acres of research and experimental forest. In 1976, Lynn entered private business as a consulting forester offering his services and expertise in forest management to private landowners and the general public. In 1974 he incorporated his private practice into Southern Resource Service, Inc., managing 70,000+ acres of timberland in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi. Lynn is a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters, past chairman of Mississippi Chapter, Society of American Foresters and recipient of the 1985 Distinguished Service to Forestry award by the S.A.F. He is also past President of the Mississippi Forestry Association and has participated and chaired several M.F.A. committees.
He is a registered forester in Alabama and Mississippi, and has a Real Estate Brokers license in Mississippi. Lynn is a past member and chairman of the Advisory Committee for the Forestry Department at Mississippi State University.
